Due to increasing measures regarding SARS-CoV-2 in the institutes of our participants, the NVTH board has come to the decision to reschedule the upcoming NVTH PhD Course & Symposium.
The new dates are:
NVTH PhD course Monday Nov 9 – Wednesday Nov 11
NVTH symposium Wednesday Nov 11 & Thursday Nov 12
The program of both the course and symposium will be as planned previously.
- Every registered participant will be contacted personally within the next week about the status of their registration and whether they would like to forward it to November.
- In case participants decide to cancel their participation, their registration fee will be reimbursed.
- PhD course teachers, symposium speakers, sponsors, and oral/poster presenters will be contacted individually within the next few days.
We ask for your patience while we do our utmost to get all of this organised.
The NVTH symposium will be held on Wednesday Nov 11 and Thursday Nov 12 2020 at the Strandhotel Westduin in Koudekerke, directly following the PhD Course. We’re proud to announce the following Keynote Speakers: Dr. Ruben Bierings, Dr. Joris Roelofs, Prof.dr. Marieke Wermer, Prof.dr. Nicole Juffermans, and Dr. Rolf Urbanus. As in 2019, a Poster Session will be organized on Wednesday. This will be preceded by Poster Pitches, where ten junior researchers will summarize their research in a one-minute pitch. Furthermore, the symposium will feature abstract presentations, the annual Coagulation Quiz, and the Van Creveld Lecture, this year by Prof.dr. Harry Büller. We’re looking forward to welcoming you in Koudekerke!
Junior researchers (PhD students, junior postdocs) are encouraged to submit a scientific abstract in the field of Thrombosis and Hemostasis comprising a maximum of 300 words. The deadline for Abstract submission has expired on February 1 2020.
The highest ranking basic and clinical abstracts with a PhD student as first author will be considered for an NVTH Award of € 1000,- that will serve as a contribution to attend the ISTH 2020 in Milan.
Important! The announcement on presentations/posters will happen after the final registration deadline.
A preliminary program can be found on the website shortly. The main language of the PhD course will be English.
Accreditation by the NIV (Nederlandse Internisten Vereniging) has been granted for 11 accreditation points.
