NVTH Symposium 2021

The NVTH symposium will take place on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 September 2021 in Strandhotel Westduin in Koudekerke.

We are proud to announce that this year's Van Creveld Lecture will be provided by Prof. Dr. Beverley Hunt.
The keynote speakers are, among others, Prof. Marieke Wermer, Dr. Joris Roelofs, Dr. Ruben Bierings and Dr. Rolf Urbanus.

As in 2019, a poster session will be organized on Wednesdays, which will be preceded by Poster Pitches where ten junior researchers summarize their research in a one-minute pitch. Furthermore, the symposium will consist of abstract presentations and the annual Coagulation quiz.

We look forward to welcoming you to Koudekerke!

Please note: We hope to be able to organize the NVTH symposium in its “usual” form; the registration procedure has been set up for that purpose. If however this will not be possible due to continuing corona-measures, we will adjust our program on 15-16 September accordingly. In that case, a limited number of PhD students and speakers will be able to attend live, and the PhD day (see below) will be postponed. We anticipate a decision on the symposium format around the registration-deadline and will of course inform you about this.

NVTH PhD Day

Immediately prior to the symposium, on September 14th (Tuesday) 2021, the NVTH PhD Day will take place. All NVTH PhD students will be invited to attend.

On this day, lectures and workshops focusing on personal and general scientific development will be provided, and of course there will be a social event to get to know your fellow PhD students a little better!

Registration for both the Symposium and the PhD Day is now open via the NVTH website. Note: the PhD day is free for all PhD students, including overnight stay, however, we have maximum number of 55 spots available

Deadline for registration PhD Day: Thursday 15 July 2021.

Abstracts

Junior researchers (PhD students, junior postdocs) are encouraged to submit a scientific abstract in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis of a maximum of 300 words.

The best scoring fundamental and clinical abstracts with a PhD student as first author are eligible for an NVTH Award.

Abstract submission is now closed.
